Terms of Service

You must be of legal drinking age in your jurisdiction (for example, 21 in the United States) and able to enter into a binding agreement. Please enjoy wine responsibly.

Keep your login credentials secure and don’t share your account. You’re responsible for activity that happens under your account. Let us know at hello@wineapp.cc if you suspect unauthorized use.

Cork Compass lets you log wine tastings and provides AI-generated insights and recommendations based on what you log. Features may change over time as we improve the product.

You keep ownership of the tastings, notes, and photos you add (“your content”). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to operate the service for you — including sending photos and text to our AI provider to generate results. Don’t upload content that is unlawful or that you don’t have the right to share.

• Don’t misuse, overload, probe, or attempt to disrupt the service or its AI features.
• Don’t attempt to access other users’ data, reverse engineer the app, or scrape it.
• Don’t use the service for anything unlawful.

Insights, wine profiles, and recommendations are generated by AI and offered for educational and entertainment purposes. They can be incomplete or inaccurate and are not professional, medical, financial, or purchasing advice. Use your own judgment, and always drink responsibly.

Cork Compass — including its name, brand, design, and software (excluding your content) — belongs to us and is protected by applicable law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable right to use the app under these Terms.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cork Compass and Matt Bruer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the service.

You can stop using Cork Compass at any time and request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service.

We may update these Terms or the service. When we make material changes, we’ll revise the effective date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
